I wish to object to the proposed biomass incinerator in Wentloog, Cardiff due to the issues of air pollution. The Welsh Government has granted Cardiff Council £21m in order to improve air quality in the City. What is the point in using this money to upgrade public transport and then have this biomass incinerator leak toxic waste into the atmosphere. Also there will be a significant increase in traffic taking waste to and from this site which again will increase air pollution. If Cardiff Council are serious about leading the way in clean air for our City they should not be considering allowing any more of these to be built Cardiff or anywhere else in the Country for that matter.
