“Please note I wish to object to the above planning application:
Traffic : The heavy vehicles which will be servicing this site would not be appropriate for some of the small and predominantly residential roads and will also cause increase congestion onalready very busy road - which is also a current concern. Increase traffic and congestion also has a wider impact on environmental and human health caused by chemical particulates such as lung cancer and asthma. There is also additional traffic impacts that may occur if building commences simultaneously with Cardiff parkway and housing development plans for the area. Extra vehicle commuter traffic may also be a concern as the site is not served by a connecting public or active travel infrastructure.
Bio Diversity and mature green spaces : This site lies alongside a SSSI and because of the nature of the application this potentially could result in damage to the SSSI, which is sensitive to pollution both air borne and from any effluent/spillage leaking into the reens, both during the construction of the site and the day to day running of it. There maybe habitat loss and mature trees removed which will impact on much wider environmental impacts and contravenes the wellbeing of future generations act and WHO sustainable development goals
Building deaig and area: The design is overbearing when compared to the buildings in the proximity and will be seen from a considerable distance. Given its location on a flat part of the area this is a totally unsuitable design. The building will be seen also by the wider community, including on the Hendre lake area, the main green space.
