Mor Hafren: Energy Recovery Facility

I feel that this application has not been considered sufficiently, particularly with respect to the impact on the local community.
The traffic in the area is already overwhelming; improvements are needed to infrastructure before any projects are considered that will exacerbate this.
The environmental impact also cannot be overstated. There have been air quality concerns in this part of South Wales for a number of years, which have had an impact on the health and well-being of local residents. At a time when the British population is becoming more concerned about the environment and new energy/waste targets are being set, it seems ridiculous to commit to such a damaging enterprise, particularly when it is likely to become obsolete in the near future. The damage that will be done to the local environment cannot be easily undone in the event that the incinerator is shut down because of new regulations. We should not be allowing these kind of projects to go ahead at a time when so much progress is being made in protecting the future of the planet.
I strongly object to this proposal and feel it should not go ahead. This would have a devastating impact on the local area.
