Mor Hafren: Energy Recovery Facility

Aside from the visual impact of a 45 metre high chimney stack and the negative impact on an environmentally protected area known as 'The Levels' a large incinerator facility will have, not to mention the adverse impact on air quality for the surrounding areas from increased CO2 levels which are a direct consequence of the burning process, I have not seen any evidence that there is a need for this 'Energy Recovery Facility' in the first place. A similar facility has recently been built in Barry Docks, which would be in close proximation to this facility and I would like to see data on the quantities of waste requiring incineration from within the local area & information on the type & quantities and location of any additional waste which is planned to be brought in from outside the local area. I therefore strongly object to this facility going ahead until this information is made public.
