Mor Hafren: Energy Recovery Facility

I object to this application and want the whole project stopped.
The location of the proposed site is too close to Eastern High School and will expose the young people of Rumney to the dangers of heavy industrial traffic and the pollutants associated with the plant. I also do not believe that Eastern Cardiff has the necessary infrastructure to cope with the increased traffic that would be supplying the incinerator; we already experience chaos when Lamby Bridge is closed or Rumney Bridge is down to one lane. The people of Rumney already put up with rest of Cardiff’s waste at the Lamby Way tip and has to deal with the toxic consequences of that together with the stench and flies in the summer. I don’t believe the people in this area are being treated fairly by being expected to put up with this development and suffer the negative impact it will bring to their every day lives.
